Branch tips
The finger-like extensions on the branch of
an artificial tree; the more tips per tree, the more dense the tree.
Garland
A length of foliage 8'-10' feet long, used for ornamentation.
Height
A measured distance, from the floor to the top of a fully-assembled tree. *Note: Heights differ slightly between manufacturers, as some include
the tree stand in their measurements, and others do not. Height difference is usually 3"-5".

Lights which are suitable for use in the home or outside of the home
LED:
Abbreviation for light-emitting diode. LED Christmas lights are
a type of Christmas lights available on the market that is believed
by many to be longer-lasting and more economical.
The light emitted is cooler in color than traditional lights,
and come in clear and colored options.
PE:
Abbreviation for polyethalene. It is a type
of plastic that is used in high-end artificial
Christmas trees due to its durable, flexible, and highly moldable nature.
PVC:
Abbreviation of polyvinyl chloride.
It is a plastic that comes in many versions, and is
the material from which many budget and
mid-range artificial Christmas tree "needles" are made.
Swag: A looped ornamental design, often used in the same manner as a garland.
Teardrop: An ornamental design most similar to a falling drop,
often used in the same manner as a garland.
Topiary: Ornamental foliage trimmed into various
miniatures, and often geometric, shapes.
Wreath: A circular band of foliage used for
ornamental purposes; comes in various sizes.
Tree species
Grows in mid-north and north-east US and Canada.
Able to withstand very cold temperatures. Needle shape is flat,
color is a cooler green, and shape is a dense, full teardrop with a slender top.
Douglas Fir:
Natural habitat is western US and Canada,
but grows all over North America. Pyramid shape,
needle color is a vibrant green and the branch
tips are full and bushy. Cones grow downward.
Fraser Fir:
Similar to the Balsam Fir, but grows in southern US.
Dark green needles, excellent needle retention.
Noble Fir:
Native to northwestern North America.
Cool-green blue color, full and stylized shape, needles grow upward.
Scotch Pine:
Color is medium-green; has a full, triangular shape with a full top.
Needle length is long, typically 2"-3". Native to Europe and Asia, grows in eastern US.
Blue Spruce:
Growth is spread from coast to coast of North
America. Evergreen conifer, columnar shape, with cool blue-green needles.
Norway Spruce:
Grows all over North America. Evergreen conifer,
dark-green needles grow forward which makes it easier to grasp
